Hello Book Lovers,
Do you find yourself in a book slump? Unable to figure out which book to read next or if you even feel like reading, since the last book you read can’t be beat? Try some of these tips and suggestions to get you back to your reading routine.
1.) Try reading a short story or essay. Essays and short stories are a quick read and they allow you to get back into turning those pages.
Suggestion: Essays of E.B. White by E.B. White.
2.) Read a book you have already read and know you love. There is nothing like going back to one of your favorite books, try reading a book you love and it might break your book slump cycle.
Suggestion: One of my favorites, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
3.) Choose a book you think you might like (don’t be afraid to judge a book by it’s cover) and give it four chapters. After four chapters if you still don’t want to read it, close the book and don’t feel guilty!
Suggestion: Insurgent (from the Divergent series) by Veronica Roth.
